Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I have signed up for the 'Midnight Ridgeway Walk' , which is a 20 mile hike through out the night organised by Swindon Thamesdown Rotary Club to help raise money for local charities.
A group of us have chosen to support the Swindon Therapy Centre, which serves the MS Community in and around Swindon. They are here to provide therapies, support, advice and information for people with MS, their families and carers.
The therapies offered by the Centre are a major contribution to the fight against MS. Not only does the group offer support, but also practical solutions to problems and help with day to day living.
In 2008 the Centre started treating other conditions, such as Strokes, Parkinsons Disease, as well as children with Cerebral Palsy, Autism and brain injuries, as all these conditions can benefit from the oxygen therapy, physiotherapy and other therapies they offer.
Through a huge amount of fund-raising and donations they have been able to secure a fantastic new centre in the former Farepak building in West Swindon, which will allow them extend their services. They still need to raise £200k to cover the costs of additional equipment which can make a real difference to their users. The hard work of MS Therapy Centre members such as David and Jackie Wray deserves our support.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Swindon Therapy Centre For Multiple Sclerosis gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Yours,
Robert
